The first month of 2017 may almost be over and may already have featured its fair share of questionable events, but there’s still time to get positive about the fresh year ahead. Whether you had an especially heavy festive season, already fell off the bandwagon with your New Year’s resolutions or are suffering with a serious case of the January Blues, it’s never too late to pick up a healthy new habit or to try something different to give yourself a boost!
With that in mind, we’ve rounded up three of our favourite new smoothie recipes, bursting with amazing ingredients which will help you detox your body of all of the bad stuff and face the remainder of 2017 with your best foot forward. Let’s get blending!
1. Spring Glowing Green Smoothie, Kimberly Snyder
Bursting with healthy ingredients including iron-rich spinach, deliciously tangy mango, brightening lime juice and sweetly creamy banana, this smoothie tastes like spring in a blender and will make you feel like a million dollars. The wealth of hydration boosting, vitamin packed goodies in this beauty could also give you a great beauty boost – it’s all fabulous for your skin!
2. Spirulina Smoothie, Deliciously Ella
Cult healthy-eating blogger Deliciously Ella has plenty of corking smoothies up her sleeve which will make you feel like the bee’s knees. This glass of goodness contains spinach and kale alongside blueberries, bananas, medjool dates for sweetening, hemp powder and spirulina. It’s a feast for your body and will tick off pretty much every little extra your system is craving. The spirulina is a serious hit of amino acids which the body sometimes struggles to produce enough of naturally.
3. Chocolate, Cherry & Mint Smoothie, Spa Bettie
And now, for dessert! OK, so this blend also contains supergreens, but it’s also balanced out with yummy, healthy cacao (for supreme, guilt-free chocolatey-ness), healthy maca, rich chia, tangy cherries and a lovely hint of mint. Trust us, it’s yummy – and super good for you too!
