To take some of the pressure off we have put together a list of some top makeup tips that will make you look amazing at the office party, family gatherings, and New Year’s celebrations:
Add some shimmer
We all love some sparkle at Christmas, so why not incorporate that into your makeup. Simply sweep a glittering powder below your brow bone, on the inner corner of your eyes, and over your cheekbones for a healthy festive glow. If you are pale skinned make sure that your shimmer is pink based, people with darker skin should go for golden tones. This is a great way to update your daytime office look to a great evening look that’s perfect for post work drinks and the dance floor.
If your lips are your best feature then a lighter eye shadow on the eyes combined with shimmering lips could be the perfect look. Red lips look great on almost everyone, just make sure that you get the right shade for you and your colouring. As a rule orange based reds pop more so are better for darker skin tones, whereas blue based reds are better for you fair skinned beauties. Wearing red lipstick is 10% colour and 90% attitude – you’ve got to work it girl!
If you really want to push the boat out why not consider going all artistic with some glitter, you’re bound to stand out. There are loads of options to choose from but we love this holly design. It’s great for the kids too.
